How to use Aptis

WHAT DOES APTIS ADVANCED DO?

Aptis Advanced can test from B1 to C2 but its optimal point of discrimination is at levels B2 to C2. Aptis Advanced will provide the precision and detail needed to discriminate accurately between these levels.

WHAT DOES APTIS ADVANCED TEST?

Aptis Advanced allows you to evaluate all of the language skills.

The test consists of a core component (grammar and vocabulary), which is combined with Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking.

TEST COMPONENTS LENGTH (MINUTES) SCORING TASKS
Grammar and Vocabulary 25 0 - 50 60
Speaking 12 CEFR B1 - C2 /0-50 3
Writing 50 CEFR B1 - C2 /0-50  3

APTIS ADVANCED SCORING

Candidate performance in each skill is mapped to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). An Aptis Advanced candidate will receive a score on a numerical scale (0 to 50) for the grammar and vocabulary section, and a score on a numerical scale (0 – 50) and CEFR level (B1–C2) for each skill they take and a CEFR global level. This will make up the candidate’s language proficiency profile.

So whether your testing requirement is for recruitment, workforce development or training, Aptis is the forward thinking English test for you.
